The Icons Series has officially announced the return of The $10M Swing, the richest hole in golf. Set to ignite tournament week at the Icons Cup South Africa on Wednesday, 9 December 2026 at 5:30 PM SAST.
Staged as a high-stakes, standalone curtain-raiser ahead of the main team match-play tournament later in the week, The $10M Swing will take place under tournament conditions on the iconic 17th hole of the Montagu Course at Fancourt.
Playing over a water hazard from 165+ yards, every Icon from South Africa and World will step up for one shot at golfing immortality. A hole-in-one triggers an extraordinary $10,000,000 jackpot, making it the most valuable single shot in golf history.
Stepping up to the tee will be an all-star roster of global sporting gamechangers, scratch-handicap champions, and multi-sport icons:
- South Africa Team: Captain Ernie Els, Jacques Kallis, AB de Villiers, Herschelle Gibbs, Schalk Burger, Schalk Brits, Victor Matfield, Fourie du Preez, Shaun Pollock, Vernon Philander, Chris Morris, Akona Ndungane, Butch James, Jimmy Tau, and Roland Schoeman.
- World Team (with more names to be announced): Captain José María Olazábal, Brian Lara, Ash Barty, Sir James Anderson, Christian Cullen, George Gregan, Yuvraj Singh, John Terry, and Dwight Yorke.
Alongside the headline 28 Icons, an exclusive group of wildcards, including top digital creators, celebrity guests, local Fancourt representatives, and a rising George local youth golfer, will also take on the challenge to test their nerves in front of the global cameras.

- The Global $10M Fan Split: Through a free online voting entry at icons-series.com/10-million-swing, fans choose the Icon they believe will make an ace. If that player strikes gold, the $10,000,000 jackpot is split three ways: one-third to the player, one-third to the official charity partners, and one-third to one fan, drawn at random from everyone who picked that player.
- The R100,000 Fancourt Crowd Prize: For spectators on the ground at Fancourt, the stakes are just as high. Fans in attendance on Wednesday evening have the exclusive chance to back the nearest-the-pin contenders and walk away with a guaranteed local jackpot of R100,000.
