Mamelodi Sundowns claimed a 4-1 victory in Betway Premiership clash with Chippa United at Loftus Versveld Stadium in Pretoria on Friday night.

Sundowns broke the deadlock in the 21st minute with a powerful strike from Marcelo Allende to take a 1-0 lead. On the 37th minute, the log leaders doubled their lead through Iqraam Ranyers, who took his goal tally in the league to 11 goals.

A few minutes later, Chippa pulled one back with a goal from Sinoxolo Kwayiba to take the match to the half-time break at 2-1.

Sundowns brought in Themba Zwane in place of Nuno Santos in the second half, while Chippa pulled off Malebogo Modise to bring in Justice Figuareido.

Tashreeq Matthews sealed the game with a third goal for Sundowns in the 83rd minute.

The Chilli Boys looked for an opportunity to get back into match but they were further behind in added time after a long-range strike from Brayan Leon, who nestled into an empty net after he rounded goalkeeper Dumisani Msibi outside of the area.
