CAF Champions League defending champions Al Ahly were drawn against Mamelodi Sundowns in quarterfinals that will bring coach Pitso Mosimane against his former paymasters.
On-form Tanzanian giants Simba were drawn against tournament quarterfinal debutants Kaizer Chiefs who overcame their domestic league woes to book a place in the knockouts.
Quarter-Finals fixtures in full:
- Al Ahly vs Mamelodi Sundowns
- MC Alger vs Wydad Athletic Club
- CR Belouizdad vs Esperance de Tunis
- Kaizer Chiefs vs Simba Sports Club
Semi-finals:
- Al Ahly or Mamelodi Sundowns vs CR Belouizdad or Esperance de Tunis
- MC Alger or Wydad Athletic Club vs Kaizer Chiefs or Simba Sports Club
The first-leg ties will take place between 14-15 May which will be hosted by the group runners-up before the return leg matches scheduled for 21-22 May.
Meanwhile Orlando Pirates were drawn against Raja Casablanca of Morocco in the quarterfinals of the CAF Confederations Cup on Friday.
