The Carling Black Label has announced its sponsorship of Mamelodi Sundowns as the team prepares for its significant campaign in the FIFA Club World Cup.
Sundowns is the only Southern African club to qualify for the newly expanded 32-team Fifa Club World Cup taking place in the United States next month.
The brand is now inviting fans to join the journey through its much-anticipated Score Predictor platform, turning match predictions into champion rewards.
The Score Predictor, initially launched in 2022, returns with a bold new twist for the global stage. Fans can log their predictions for each of the tournament’s matches at www.carlingpredictor.com or via USSD by dialling *120*660# — unlocking a chance to win a share of more than R1 million in prizes, airtime rewards, and a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to watch the Champions of the Fifa Club World Cup 2025 at their next home game.
Kerryn Greenleaf, Brand Director of Carling Black Label, explains why this campaign is a defining moment for the brand and the footballing community it serves:
“Carling Black Label has always been more than a beer — it’s a Champion Beer for Champions. Our Score Predictor brings fans closer to the game they love, and this year, it’s about turning every prediction into a celebration of champion spirit. Mamelodi Sundowns are representing Africa at the highest level, and with the Score Predictor, we’re giving fans the power to join them on that journey. Because when they score — you score.”
The campaign will launch formally on Tuesday, 27 May 2025 at Level Three, Kramerville, Sandton, through a high-energy press event blending football culture, music, and digital innovation.
Sundowns will begin the tournament in the United States against Ulsan HD at Inter&Co Stadium in Florida on 18 June [12:00].
Their highly anticipated match against Dortmund will take place at TQL Stadium in Cincinnati, Ohio, three days later at 18:00.
They will conclude their group stage matches against Fluminense at Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida, on 25 June at 21:00.
