Swallows’ FIFA imposed transfer ban lifted as transfer window deadline looms.

By Lehlohonolo Lehana.

Swallows Football Club have confirmed that a transfer-ban from FIFA has been lifted and the club can now sign new players.

In short statement the club said ” The ban is lifted and all the players affected by the ban will be registered.”

The Birds were in hot water with FIFA due to money owed to two Serbian players – Obren Cuckovic and Vladimir Mandic – who played for the old Moroka Swallows back in the the 2014/2015 campaign.

Despite the fact that the then Swallows was liquidated, and the current club is a new entity, the matter has resurfaced with the world governing body.

The January transfer window will close on Tuesday, January 31.
