SA Police Service have confirmed that three suspects were arrested on Tuesday in connection with a robbery at Jabulani Mall last week.
The suspects were arrested in Soweto on Tuesday.
The three are believed to have been part of a gang of 15 suspects who stormed a store and took money from the tills and safe before firing shots on 30 July.
Gauteng police spokesperson Dimakatso Nevhuhulwi says one suspect was nabbed in Mofolo.
“Upon interviewing the suspect, it was discovered that he is out on bail on a different case of business robbery as per Diepkloof case. Preliminary investigations led the police to two more suspects at Nancefield hostels.
“The police will continue to track the other suspects involved together with the firearms used during the robbery.”
All three suspects are expected to appear in court on August 10. The investigation and tracing of other suspects continues,” Nevhuhulwi added.
