TS Galaxy have parted ways with striker Samir Nurkovic in a mutual agreement with just a few days left before the transfer window closure.

The 32-year-old joined the Rockets as a free agent after parting ways with Royal AM and signed an initial one-year deal with an option to extend it. It eventually happened and his current deal was set to expire at the end of the 2024/25 edition, but the player has opted out.

The striker managed 10 goals in 29 matches, helping The Rockets finish in sixth place on the log table – their highest-ever ranking in the topflight.

Nurkovic still has another outstanding matter with Royal AM, who owe the player R12 million for terminating his contract prematurely two years ago.

That case is still pending at the Court of Arbitration for Sport.

Reports have it that Nurkovic wanted to start more matches after just eight starts in the 29 matches played last season, but his wish was not granted.
