TS Galaxy gives Mokwena ultimatum to retract claims of plot to avenge Parker injury.

TS Galaxy has strongly denied allegations of a revenge plot on Mamelodi Sundowns midfielder Bongani Zungu during their match on Monday night.

Sundowns coach Rhulani Mokwena accused TS Galaxy coach Sead Ramovic of instructing his players to intentionally injure Zungu whose reckless challenge broke Bernard Parker’s leg in October 2023.

However, Ramovic denied the allegations stating the 37-year-old was ignorant, and nothing had been planned as claimed.

The Rockets have now given Mokwena an ultimatum to prove the accusations he made after their 3-0 win over the Mpumalanga outfit, or action will be taken.

“TS Galaxy FC takes serious exception to the comments made by Mamelodi Sundowns FC coach Rhulani Mokwena insinuating that our Head Coach instigated the injury suffered by Sundowns player Bongani Zungu during our match last night,” TS Galaxy posted on X.

“Mokwena lied blatantly through his teeth which we deem to be a serious embarrassment to our game never mind the club that he represents.

“If Mokwena still believes in his own lies, we are now calling him out publicly to prove his claim within 24 hours, failing which our Club and our Coach will assert their rights in law!”

It is the latest escalation in an ongoing feud between Ramovic and Mokwena, which began in November last year and intensifies with each passing month.
