TS Galaxy booked their spot in the Nedbank Cup final after defeating Motsepe Foundation Championship side Milford FC on penalties at Solomon Mahlangu Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
With both sides tied at 1-1 after extra time, it needed a penalty shootout to separate them, and the Rockets won 4-3.
Siphosethu Ndlabi gave Milford the lead after 11 minutes when his stylish finish that beat Ira Tape in goals for the hosts.
But TS Galaxy hit back through Victor Letsoalo, who headed in a delivery from Seluleko Mahlambi 10 minutes into the second half.
Milford goalkeeper Siphamandla Hleza made a brilliant save to deny Tshepo Kakora with five minutes to go. Milford nearly stole the game during the referee’s optional time, but Tape produced a world-class save forcing the match into extra-time.
Galaxy were champions seven years ago when, as a second-tier side, they defeated Kaizer Chiefs in the final in Durban. They will be hoping for a second title against Durban City on 02 May 2026 and the winner will play CAF Confederation Cup football next season.
