Two security officers have been killed in separate shootings in Soweto.
Both men were killed by a gang of suspected robbers in White City on Monday.
Police said the first guard was on duty at a local butchery in White City, when he was approached by five gunmen who shot and disarmed him. As the gunmen were fleeing the scene, they came across another security guard and also shot him.
The second victim was unarmed, said Gauteng police spokesperson, Colonel Dimakatso Sello.
The gunmen have yet to be identified and police are investigating the circumstances that led to the shootings, Sello added.
