Mamelodi Sundowns are set to meet with Themba Zwane and Andile Jali to discuss their futures at the club.
Zwane and Jali’s initial contracts at Sundowns are set to run out at the end of June this year.
However, Sundowns still enjoy the privilege of exercising two-year options on both players’ contracts, and it’s understood that the club has already verbally agreed to trigger these before the end of this month.
“They are not going anywhere but staying with Sundowns. The club has a right to exercise the options of both players, but it is also important to meet the players and assure them of their futures at the club,” source said.
Meanwhile Zwane’s manager Jazzman Mahlakgane said talks for the new deal are at an advanced stage.
“People must not worry he will sign a new contract with the club.”
Zwane said he still had unfinished business with Sundowns as he had a target of winning another league title with them.
Midfielder Aubrey Ngoma is another player whose contract at the Tshwane outfit is set to lapse at the end of this month but the club also have a one-year option.
Sundowns are also expected to meet with both Tebogo Langerman and Phakamani Mahlambi to discuss their future at the club.
