The Inter-Ministerial Committee (IMC) on Migration held an urgent meeting last night following the recent Constitutional Court judgment on asylum seekers.
IMC chairperson and Minister of Justice and Constitutional Development Mmamoloko Kubayi said the government was treating the matter with the utmost urgency.
She assured South Africans that the government remained committed to maintaining the integrity of the migration system, upholding the rule of law and protecting the national interest.
